The Carrara Summer Classic is held annually to benefit Community Services of Stark County Inc. — Maternity, Adoption & Parenting. Throughout the day, golf skills contests, including closest to the pin and longest drive competitions, are held, as well as free golf lessons by a certified teaching professional. Later, a dinner and awards ceremony are held to honor the golf outing's major sponsors.
Last year's event, held once again at Roses Run Country Club, finished as the biggest. Prizes included an autographed Lebron James basketball and Tony Romo football, Callaway golf clubs & bag, and Cleveland Browns & Indians tickets.
"Each year, it is our mission for the golf outing to present both a fun and challenging event while supporting a worthwhile cause, and this year was no different," says Justin Sucato, Carrara Companies president and owner. "We were thrilled to present this check to a charity who has directly assisted a Carrara Companies employee in the past."
