The Carrara Classic is held annually to benefit local charities. Throughout the day, golf skills contests, including closest to the pin and longest drive competitions, are held, as well as free golf lessons by a certified teaching professional. Later, a dinner and awards ceremony are held to honor the golf outing's major sponsors.

This year's event, held once again at Roses Run Country Club, finished as on of the biggest. Prizes included a Panasonic VIERA Plasma HDTV, iPod Touch, and golf clubs among other prizes.

Carrara Companies Annual Carrara Classic"Each year, it is our mission for the golf outing to present both a fun and challenging event while supporting a worthwhile cause, and this year was no different," says Justin Sucato, Carrara Companies president and owner. "We were thrilled to present this check to a charity who has directly assisted a Carrara Companies employee in the past."

The past few years, the Classic has supported Community Services of Stark County, and this year will be supporting it once again.
