Carrara Classic

The Carrara Classic is held annually to benefit local charities. Throughout the day, golf skills contests, including closest to the pin and longest drive competitions, are held, as well as free golf lessons by a certified teaching professional. Following golf, a dinner and awards ceremony are held to honor the golf outing’s major sponsors.

Carrara and its valued vendor partners are hosting golf at Sleepy Hollow, which is recognized as one of the top five courses in the State of Ohio. Lunch, dinner, open bar and entertainment (a $125.00 value) will be provided. All proceeds will be going to The Blue Star Mothers, a 501(c) 3 non-profit military charter.

To achieve our donation goal of $10K to this worthwhile charity for our military families, we need your help. There are a variety of ways we will accomplish this goal together:

  • An advanced and on-site 50/50 raffle
  • Mulligans for sale
  • Long putt contest
  • Prize raffle
  • Putting strings
  • Skins
  • Longest drive

Being a 501(c) 3 charter, all donations are tax deductible with receipts available. Cash donations will be accepted, so please be generous. Anything you can do to help the cause will be appreciated.

“Each year, it is our mission for the golf outing to present both a fun and challenging event while supporting a worthwhile cause, and this year will be no different,” says Justin Sucato, Carrara Companies president and owner. “We are thrilled to give back to our partners and customers, while supporting a great and worthy organization.”

Thank you in advance for your help and cooperation. We’ll see on September 9th.

About Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc.

Blue Star Mothers of America Originally founded in 1942, Blue Star Mothers of America have had volunteers in hospitals and train stations, packed care packages for soldiers overseas, and are a working part of homeland security during times of war. The devastating attacks on September 11, 2001 have brought about a resurgence of the organization, and mothers are once again hanging the recognizable blue starred flags in windows across the nation.

Blue Star Mothers of America, Ohio Chapter #2, works in conjunction with the Stark County USO and have sent approximately 3,500 care packages to military personnel this year alone. They also provide gold star service banners to families whose loved ones have fallen while on active duty. For more information, please visit www.bluestarmothers.net.
